This bag is loud and I love it. Leopard print, olive paisley, rust velvet, cobalt and turquoise cut into sharp angles and stitched down with threads in every color, then a bronze metallic leather sash across the front to pull it all together. Even the strap is pieced from scraps, and it adjusts so you can wear it long or short.
When I finished it, all I could think of was Joseph's coat of many colors (Genesis 37:3). His story is torn apart and stitched back together, and at the end he says "you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good" (Genesis 50:20). That's what a remnant is to me: the pieces that got left behind, made into something nobody saw coming.
